EVERYDAY MOMENTS: WEEK EIGHT

We had planned a mini getaway for ages. Justin had a surfing lesson and a dive voucher.

But after on half a day Jarvis asked if Tamika and 'his Chester" could join us. Best move ever. I got to spend so much time with all of my babies. Tamika got to relax. And Jarvis and Chester got to hang out every minute of every day.

Most afternoons were spent like this. Just lazily enjoying the beach.

EVERYDAY MOMENTS: WEEK FOUR

The everyday moments.  I want to remember moments, moments that are not huge. But those little every day things, things that we forget our children doing. I want to remember, and enjoy, the magic of these moments. So, I am going to join in the 52 Project for this year concentrating on the little, the everyday, the ordinary.

Week Four
I wonder what it is going to be like when life separates these two? Next year Jarvis will be due to start prep. How will Chester be without his older buddy? How will Jarvis be without "my Chester".

Each Wednesday we go to the library for Toddler Time. They will play with the other kids, but always together. I hear Jarvis introduce himself and then introduce Chester. Today a little girl asked if Chester was Jarvis's brother, Jarvis always gives the same answer, "he is not my brother, he is My Chester".

EVERYDAY MOMENTS: WEEK THREE

The everyday moments.  I want to remember moments, moments that are not huge. But those little every day things, things that we forget our children doing. I want to remember, and enjoy, the magic of these moments. So, I am going to join in the 52 Project for this year concentrating on the little, the everyday, the ordinary.

Week Three
I wonder if Jarvis will always 'look after' Chester? When ever the two are together, Jarvis takes it upon himself to care for Jarvis. The constant hand holding. Or sometimes, it is more of a death/wrist grip.

The worry that sets over Jarvis if Chester does something. In this case it was because it was because Chester went in the water too far.

But then Chester must like it, as he is always the mirror to Jarvis.

EVERYDAY MOMENTS: WEEK TWO

Week two

Nappy changes. How many nappy changes have we done? Hundreds? Thousands? Happens every day all day.

For us it always seems to be a family affair. With one escaping toddler, one toddler doing 'rolly pollies', one mother always trying to separate the two boys. All followed by a good jump on Justin.

JARVIS'S NEW CAMERA

We gave Jarvis a new camera for his Christmas present. No more does he have to suffer through using my old camera that was held together with tape and a broken viewing screen. He has a shiny new PURPLE Nikon Coolpix S2900.

Jarvis had asked for a "purple real camera". We delivered on the purple, but not on the 'real', think we will wait a bit to give him a SLR

And it is love. In two weeks, Jarvis has taken hundreds of images. The latest is up on his blog. Portraits of Justin and I.

I love seeing the world through his eyes.

UP THE RIVER

Brisbane? Did you forget it is no longer summer?

Some days it is nice just to take a lazy ferry ride up the river.

Followed by one of us playing in the park and one of us laying in the grass. Which ended with the one attempting to be lazy being jumped all over.

Simple days, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Especially since my little man still loves to hold my hand.

BEC AND MITCH'S WEDDING JUSTIN MA PHOTOGRAPHY

A photo can say so much. Evoke so many memories and create a depth of emotion that you did not think possible. A glimpse, at the wedding of Bec and Mitch; for more go to Justin's website.

When ever I sit down Jarvis wants to sit on me. When ever I lay down, Jarvis wants to lay on me. Not beside me, but on me. Often with his fingers in my mouth. Justin and I joke he has a heavy head made of concrete and laying down involves lots of head butts (accidentally, as he fidgets). I got Justin to take a photo, that way we can have a record of this nightly occurrence.

There are a few, Portrait a Week options out there. A lot involve taking a portrait of your children each week. Jodi over at Che and Fidel has inspired me to pick up my camera and turn the focus inward. Since I already take 100s of photos of my children each week, so I thought I would twist the idea a little. What I never seem to get is group shots, images of the family together, whether it is my two children, Tamika and Jarvis, or me with the kids, or shots of Justin and I. So I am going to challenge myself to get one image of "my family" per week.

Jarvis it is like some times you know when someone needs extra love. Your Aunty Susie, or Sisss as you like to call her, got some bad news, so you went and sat on her foot, patiently waiting for her to finish her phone call, then you gave her a kiss and ran off and played...

She is my little sister, but she is the glue of this family. Susie is constantly giving to everyone. Lets hope the universe can give a positive outcome.

MY LOVE IS BLACK AND WHITE

I was not going to post any more pj photo shoots, but then how can I resit my two babies in their matching pyjamas?? I love these two so much, sometimes it hurts.

Jarvis tries to copy everything his big sister does

 Even when it is strange

 Jarvis now does push-ups

Tamika often gives her brother the 'look'

But with in moments he has her laughing

And rushing to him when he falls over

Jarvis waiting for his sister so he was the stand alone model to test the lights

Every morning Jarvis and I wake up first, and pretty much every morning Jarvis tries and tries to wake up his Dad. Nothing like a good slap to the face to start your day.

This image fills my heart with so much happiness, the love that Tamika has for her brother is so overwhelming

Tamika went into the cubby house with Jarvis to play with him, to keep him happy, so I could have time to fix the sewing machine. To see my 20 year old daughter folded up like Alice in Wonderland in the cubby just to make her brother happy was so beautiful. (I added the second image just so everyone could see how squished she was in there playing with him)
