It is not that the words are a difficult thing
to say. I have no problem admitting I am in another person’s debt. I am not at
all powerful; I need the help of others to survive. The reality is that the
human race is interdependent. I cannot live life alone. I can admit I am
constantly relying on other for all kinds of resources, both physical and
emotional. When I say thank you I am acknowledging that I have received
something from another human being. But is this enough? Do the words count any more?
Jarvis loves
going to the letterbox. It is a daily joy of his, to hear the Postie’s bike,
and to run out and check if we have mail. Today, not only did we get mail, but
we got a parcel. A parcel for Jarvis.
My Aunt sent Jarvis a beautiful hand knitted jumper. This is not the first. Last winter between my Aunt and my Mother; the Grannies knitted an amazing stash for him. I happened to mention not so long ago that he had outgrown all of these, without expecting anything.
What a gorgeous surprise when we received this beautiful hand knitted gift today.
Not that my Aunt reads this blog, but I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for your thoughtful gift that is so filled with love.
