I dug through my fabric stash and found a gorgeous piece of caramel
cord, only 60cm long, not a lot of fabric, but just enough to make Jarvis a pair
of sarouels. Now we have a cute boy posing as a Caramel Koala Bear in his caramel cords and bear beanie.
I cut them out following the pattern I have already drafted for these
pants, allowing a little extra because of the no stretch factor. It was an easy sew on
the overlocker and sewing machine, which I love. To add a bit of extra detail I
added a triangular pocket and edged it in brown cotton.
Once on Jarvis, I realised they are a touch to big for his skinny frame,
but I don’t mind. I think the extra ‘puff’ looks cute on him. Being elastic waist they are easy for him to wear and super comfy and warm. All bonuses.
Jarvis had had so many remarks and compliments on all of his sarouels, when he is out and about, I should learn to say thank you I made them and give them a business card.
The cardigan is another beautiful
hand knitted creation from my Aunty from last year. It is now a little short,
but I love it so much.

oh man!! how cute is that bubba of yours! hehe I love the last shot...the look in his eyes is mischief for sure. I adore his duds too. I love anything in cord for winter. Nice pot of basil there! have a good weekend x
ReplyDeleteThe basil and coriander are growing really well. But the chilli plant and rosemary are not. I am thinking of making myself a pair of cords for winter. I have two meters of red cord in my stash. Not sure if to make a pair like Jarvis's or more of a 1940s style trouser.
Deletehe is cute isn't he?
He's so cute. You do such a beautiful job creating clothes, start handing that card out!
ReplyDeleteAs always lack of confidence. Most of the time I just mumble thanks and don't even mention I made them.
Deletecould he be any darn cuter! gal you have to sell those, people would snap them up!!
ReplyDeleteMy dream would to sew all day and be able to stay at home with Jarvis
DeleteThey're the cutest pants ever! I wish I could sew.
ReplyDeleteWarm, comfy, durable and stylish. They tick so many boxes. I can always make a couple of pairs for you.
DeleteHe's so totally a cutie! Love the pants. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I too think he is a totally cutie
DeleteThere are ridiculously cute on him. They remind me of old fashioned type of pants men used to wear way back when. (I forget what they are called)
ReplyDeleteThey are actually a French thing. But back in the 80s they were made popular because of MC Hammer. You Tube it you are way to young to know.
