TOURIST TUESDAY: DAY EIGHT MONKEY FOREST AND TANAH LOT TEMPLE PART TWO

Next up was, Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest. A small forest that is home to a large group of monkeys, and big bats. They say, all monkeys living in this forest are chummy and tame with human beings... but that is what they tell you.

However, they provide a guide who carries a huge stick to beat of the monkeys if they try to approach you. Though we needed that huge stick to beat off the guide after the tour.

Oh and the winner of THE MOST inappropriate family photo... taken by the Monkey forest tour guide. Just what every family needs. A photo under a giant monkey with a huge penis and balls, as the focal point of the image.

The only time during the entire trip the 'selling' got to me. After the tour the Monkey forest tour guide walked us to her shop. She would not take no for an answer, and was begging for us to buy something. Massively uncomfortable. I ended up buying a t-shirt for Jarvis just so she would let us walk out of her shop.

The last stop of the day was Tanah Lot Temple which is located in coastal side of Beraban countryside. The temple is built on the rock with 3 acre size and reachable in a few minutes by walk, because it is just 20 meters from the coastal lip. This temple is very famous among tourist destinations in Bali with spectacular view of sunset.

We enjoyed ourselves just walking around and exploring. Yet again I got asked to join other tourist photos. No idea why they want images of me, or what they are going to do with them when they get home.

I have to say we got the perfect guide for the day, he would walk us to our destination give us some local information and history and then step back and let us explore on our own.
