ON THE BUSES: SHE WORE A RED HAT

In a sea of commuters wearing black, you stood out in your red hat and your green hand knitted jumper. Unfortunately this image does not show it, but as you were sitting there waiting for your bus, you looked so happy. I wonder if it was age that gave you the strength to be different, to stand out from the crowd. Or were you always the sort the walked your own path. I rode onward, and began to wonder, when did the world want to become the same? Were we humans always wanting to be the same, or fighting those who were different.

“Differentiation is not a tactic. It’s not a flashy advertising campaign; it’s not a sparkling new feature set. It’s not a laminated frequent buyer card or money-back guarantee. Differentiation is a way of thinking. It’s a mindset. It’s a commitment.” -  Youngme Moon

  1. I love this series! The quiet joy of people watching, pondering and watching. xx

    1. I love people watching. I think being on the bus lets you see all types of people. Bonus points, Jarvis loves riding the bus.

  2. I think at a certain age you say "F*ck it" and just don't care anymore. She is adorable, and I bet she had stories upon stories to share.

    1. Do you think she got to an age and said that? Or was confident all along?
