14/52

I was thinking the other day that Justin and I have very few photos of us together. We are always the one taking the photos. So I tried to do a serious portrait of us, but we are both so awkward in front of the camera, this is the end result. I know normally it is meant to be just one image, however, Justin and I debated over which image to use so I thought I would post all three of our final choices. Which do you prefer? Image one, two or three?

There are a few, Portrait a Week options out there. A lot involve taking a portrait of your children each week. Jodi over at Che and Fidel has inspired me to pick up my camera and turn the focus inward. Since I already take 100s of photos of my children each week, so I thought I would twist the idea a little. What I never seem to get is group shots, images of the family together, whether it is my two children, Tamika and Jarvis, or me with the kids, or shots of Justin and I. So I am going to challenge myself to get one image of "my family" per week.

  1. Absolutely beautiful, all of them! It is always so nice to see the person behind the blog. I think all of us bloggers should remember that! I wanna see more!

    1. Both Justin and I love taking photos, but both of us get all weird when we are put in front of the camera. But you are right, we all want to see more of the person behind the blogs we have fallen in love with.

    1. Thanks Sar, I could not choose either, hence why there are the three shots this week, rather than just the one

  3. I love #1 as you looking at each other but the others show your gorgeous hair....what about a set of the three on big canvases ...your children will love looking at them and your obvious love

    1. Big canvases, way too intimidating, Not sure if I want to walk around our tiny house looking at myself. But you are right in the fact that I thought we need more photos of us together so when Jarvis grows up he can see what his parents were like.

    1. I would never publish an image of someone unless they agree. At first he was "No way", but then he too saw the humour in it. Fairy hair? It has never been described as that!
