PEOPLE I MEET: BUSHIE
As I walked towards Bushie, I
thought "what an amazing image". Then almost did not stop to take the
photo. But then he said "I know you. You are that famous chick who sings
in the band". Sorry Bushie, anyone will tell you my voice is crap. But it
was great to stop and chat to you for ages.

PEOPLE I MEET: LADY WALKER
Are you a people watcher? I am, in the worst possible way. I am fascinated
by people around me and love to sticky beak. So much so Justin has even gotten
up me for staring. I can’t help it, people fascinate me. I love to look at them
and imagine what their life story is.
When Jarvis and I were at Bribie last week I saw this woman. I had
stopped on the ‘calm side’ to take photos and she walked past. Walked? Power
walked! She was so speedy. Which had me questioning why the walker frame? She
was obviously agile and fast. So I stopped and watched her walk past and
imagined a life story.
Do you do this? Make up random stories about stranger you see?

VACANCES EN FRANCE PARTIE: LES QUINZE/ HOLIDAYS IN FRANCE: PART FIFTEEN
I immersed myself in the
streets of Paris . I wanted to drink in my surroundings, I knew our
journey was nearing the end. and I wanted to capture the vibrancy of the streets and taste the quiet moments of movement around me.
Since Paris is widely accepted as the birthplace of street
photography, I knew I had to end our holiday attempting to show a vision of a
situation and place; a place that was going to forever capture my heart. Paris is such a cosmopolitan city and it has helped to
define street photography as a genre, and the photography has helped to form the
city as people know it.
I had captured the Eiffel Tower , The Louvre and now I wanted to show its
true spirit, the people of Paris . This collection of images is from the last two days
in Paris .
I normally do not use vertical images to keep a continuity to the images here, but so many of my street style images of people are vertical, so I broke my own rule for this post.

PEOPLE I MEET: BUNNY ON A BIKE
I was out and about, taking photos of buses, when this guy stopped for a
second in front of me and said hello. I did not get his name, or a chance to
take a second image, (which I would have loved, so his bunny ears of top of his
helmet could be more visible). But his laughter was infectious. Thank you Bunny
Biker for making a rainy day less gloomy.

PEOPLE I MEET: EVIE
Meet my newest great niece, Miss Evie. Evie was born yesterday morning weighing a healthy 4090grams, or in old school measurement, over 9 pounds. She is a funny little thing who chatted the whole time we were up at the hospital visiting her.

PEOPLE I MEET: PAPPY IN HIS DRESSING GOWN
This image should be called, People
I lacked the courage to meet. I saw this elderly man sitting by himself reading the paper,
outside a dodgy hotel. Just after I took the image ours eyes meet and
his were filled with such sadness and loneliness. I nodded, yet lacked the
courage to go and talk to him. I often wonder why his soul seemed to be filled
with so much pain.
Dear Pappy in the Dressing
Gown,
I am sorry for taking your
photo, yet not going over to talk to you. I do hope you found something that
made you smile
Julie.

PEOPLE I MEET: INCENSE BOY

I normally do not like to photoshop my images as heavily as I have done this. However, when I got home it bothered me that this cute kid was posing for me and the background was a bottleshop. So not wanting to advertise them, or associate alcohol and a child, I blurred the background.

PEOPLE I MEET: MCDONALDS SUPER HERO
I saw this guy
at McDonald's and just had to ask his Mum if it was OK to take
his photo. She told me it was his idea to put the box on his head to create a
mask.
