42/52

My final catch up in the 52 series!! Tamika adopted a new kitten, so thought he should make the family portrait. We are actually babysitting? Catsitting the kitten this week-end, I am serious worried for it near our cat. Hmmm any hints on how to keep the kitten and Tira in the same house without fighting?

Jodi over at Che and Fidel has inspired me to pick up my camera and turn the focus inward. Since I already take 100s of photos of my children each week, so I thought I would twist the idea a little. What I never seem to get is group shots, images of the family together, whether it is my two children, Tamika and Jarvis, or me with the kids, or shots of Justin and I. So I am going to challenge myself to get one image of "my family" per week.

  1. It's difficult for a weekend because there really isn't enough time to accomplish anything. Is there a 'safe' room for the kitten to stay for the weekend? Maybe you could rub a cloth on the kitten and leave it out in Tira's territory for her to sniff so she gets used to the scent?

  2. How cute! Not tips as we are all allergic so no kitties here.

  3. So is Tamika's partner, but he suffers because he loves her.

  4. I was thinking we could lock the kitten in our bedroom/en-suite. Problem is he is very needy as he is so young and like A LOT of attention. Or is that because he is a male?

  5. I'm allergic as well- so I have no idea. Give them both cat nip to play with, maybe they'll be so high they'll leave one another alone haha. I love the photos <3

  6. I am practising segregation. I figured since it was only for one week-end I don't need them to meet and get along

  10. I knew it was you... I have only ever had female cats. This is the first male. He was definitely a needy little bugger. But he has stolen our hearts. Wonder if Tamika would lets us keep him?

  11. My brother and his wife have 2 cats who don't like each other but somehow still manage to live under the same roof? Maybe it'll still be ok as long as they leave each other alone.

  12. I made sure they stayed apart the whole week-end. Reg went home Sunday night, but I think I may go and catnap him. He was such a cutie
